Default Radar detector plug ins

When it come to reading wiring diagrams, I'm the dumbest guy on the planet. Can someone direct me as to which ports in the mirror plug I should use to direct hook a Valentine V1 into the power on the mirror plug? Thanks in advance.

[I]MirrorTap instructions for the V1. Turns out MirrorTap has at least two different plugs. One with thick leads and one with thin leads. Naturally they sent me the one with thick leads first which did not fit. Once I got the thin leads they fit perfectly. Good luck.

You should have a black and red prong. The black prong wedges against the top of the black ground wire and the red prong wedges against the top of the pink +12 volt switched wire.
You need to try to open this on another device the see the picture which will make it easier.

Maybe you can open it now....

This is how I did my 10' GS, I flattened the pin with needle nose and pushed it in ABOVE the wires.

I've had bad results with sticking those pins into connectors that were not designed to have extra parts stuck in them. Erratic connections work one day, not the next. I always go to the fuse box.

...and I added solder pins from Radio Shack to the harness I installed back in '05 & have never had a problem with the power connection to my Valentine in the past 12 years!

Mines been plugged in for over 7 years. Never a hiccup. Either way, that's how it goes.

I used an add a fuse in the footwell fuse box. Working for 10 years now. V1 is being displayed in the heads up display also.

Thanks for the help gentlemen!

Glenn (Vet Interested) sent me a picture and going by that, I got it working as I wished. Thanks for your time and trouble and all the replies.
