They look like stock GM 5 spokes except you have different center caps. They have nothing to do with the Z51 package
This is the stock polished aluminum 5 spoke on my 2007.
Holy Crap, yours look awesome!!!!! How did you get them so shiny, especially since they are clear coated from the factory, and don't look anywhere that good when new?

Thank you!
I treat them the same as the rest of the clear coated paint on my car. Clay, polish, wax.
I think a lot of people use wheel cleaners, chrome polish, aluminum polish, etc. These wheels have a clear coat on them and that clear coat should be treated like any other clear coat. Anybody with polished aluminum wheels should dump all of the wheel specialty products on their shelves and stop damaging that clear coat.

I had one guy here pm me a couple of times insisting they were chrome. First thing I did when I bought the car was to check the code in the glove box to see what I was dealing with because the wheels pretty dull (similar to OP on this thread). Brought out the polish and the Porter Cable and went to work. Finished them off with Rejex and they have looked like this for over three years.
Wow, if mine looked like that, I wouldn't be looking at chrome wheels to replace them.
Ok, so I have stock wheels. But mine are painted not polished. So I would have to strip the paint off first before I could polish them. I might just be too lazy to do that though.
At 76 I have to prioritize my activities.
Nice job on the wheels.

Check the for sale section periodically as many sell the factory chrome wheels because they have the black wheels

Did you buy the car new,? If not how did you determine that the wheels were not replaced with chrome wheels?
No offence to your polishing expertise.

Check the RPO code in your glove box. Mine are painted too. That is the whole point. They are polished and then painted with a clear coat of paint, just like the rest of the car. That clear coat is often ruined by people using wheel cleaners on them and messing up the clear coat of paint that protects the polished aluminum. My wheels looked liked yours when I bought my car.
If your RPO code says you have polished aluminum wheels (very possible), that shine is available with a little elbow grease.

I checked the codes, in fact I have it right here in front of me.
But which code lettering says what wheels I have?
My wheels on closer inspection, look like they have been painted with a color, rather than clear coat over polished aluminium.

Thank you for the offer, and I will consider it.

For your 2006:
QX1 = competition grey aluminum wheels
QG7 = polished aluminum wheels
QX3 = chrome aluminum wheels
Ok, thanks for that info.
So now to decide if I want to put in that much work,,,, considering that the wife just said to get the chrome wheels if I really want them.

Is the offset (I don't know what that is) the same as it is on my car?
Mine also has the QG7 code.. so does that mean if I strip off the clear coating, and rub rub rub, they will looked like yours?
No need to strip off the clear coat. Polish the clear coat with Meguiars M105 (aggressive compound), then polish again with Meguiars M205 (light compound), then apply your favorite wax. The polishing compounds listed above are available at Pep Boys, WalMart, Harbor Freight, etc.
Try a small spot on one of your wheels. You can do it by hand or with a buffer if you have one. You have the same wheels as I do and the polished aluminum is under there. The clear coat has just been damaged with wheel cleaners. Polish it up and you will be amazed at what they can look like.
