New Owner: 2013 Grand Sport!
I sold my previous Vette, a 2002 convertible, to finance a house move 3 years ago and have been aching to get a C6 ever since.
Last week I drove home a 2013 Grand Sport Coupe! The car is completely stock down to the air filter.
It's a Manual Transmission 2LT with 19K miles on it. It has NPP and NAV. The dry sump LS3 in it was built by John Ross at the Wixom plant.
I'm the second owner. It was originally purchased new from the very same dealer I purchased it from. They are the only dealership to touch the car. The original owner had traded it in because he could not operate the clutch anymore due to health reasons.
It included both fobs, the original invoice, RPO build printout and all service records. Records show the OEM Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires are 1 year old and have 2500 miles on them. Within the last 2000 miles all fluids were changed including coolant, transmission, differential and brakes. The oil had just been changed when I picked up the car. The dealer also put a new splitter on the front, as the old one was slightly worn and was the only defect on the car. Also included brand new OEM floor mats.
It's Crystal Red with gray calipers, chrome wheels and a black interior.
I paid $37,700.
I'll see about getting some pictures I can share.

Congrats. I dont need a picture as I also have a 6-speed manual 2013 GS coupe ( Silver 3LT ). It a fun and beautiful car for sure.
Seems like a very fair deal but I have to say I'm very pleased to see how the 2013 GS's are holding their value.
Sounds like a great first owner Enjoy.

Great color! I was looking for precisely what you have back when I found my Z06 instead and decided to go that route with the LS7. Crystal Red is a beautiful color and a Grand Sport with the manual transmission and the dry sump LS3 is a gem as far as I'm concerned!

Sorry for the delay on the MUCH REQUIRED pictures! All I had before today were garage pictures and this forum deserves so much better than that. So I stopped at a park on my way home from work and took a few "more worthy" pictures.
Here you go!

I did also look at comparably priced older Z06s. I bought the 13 GS.
Here was my logic:
My buddy used to have a 09 Atomic Orange Z06. I'd driven it plenty.
The Z is faster, but at a price. On the highway it rode rough to the point of being uncomfortable. While following it on the highway from another car you could see the rear fascia shaking from the impact of the bumps. The rear license plate grommets got shaken loose a couple times. large bumps in the road had to be avoided.
For the same money I could get a newer car with less miles that rides nicer and is almost as fast with a hand built LS3 with a forged crankshaft and dry sump. It also has the same brakes, wide tires and aggressive styling.
Then there is the issue of the LS7 cylinder heads. When buying a Z06 I'd need proof the heads were fixed correctly and I prefer my cars to be as original and unmolested as possible.
The Grand Sport lacks the aluminum frame of the Z06, but the targa top comes out. I'd rather have the extra weight and be able to enjoy the open air.
So there you have it, the newer Grand Sport won out over the Z06 dollar for dollar.
If I was looking for a car that would spend most of its time at the track instead of on public roads the decision would of gone the other way.

Nice Rise!!! Hope you enjoy it.
I went from a 99 manual convertible to a new 13 GS manual convertible and was amazed with the difference in the cars. The convertibles have the standard LS3 but I didn't care because I wanted to stay with a convertible. I have driven it 38,000 miles in a little less than 4 years and still can't wipe the grin off my face.

Great choice (pat self on back), I did the same a little over a year ago. As far as I'm concerned a 13 GS is the best Vette ever. Enjoy!
