Just a simple one...Do YOU think the Vette will still be around for a C7? (say 2012-13)

The Corvette will be around as long as GM's in business or they stop making internal combustion engines... :U :chevy

I'll bet it'll be around even after internal combustion engines.

:yesnod: .....too easy - got any more difficult questions ???

I'd say that Corvette will easily soar to a 75th Anniversary (2028).....possibly, just maybe a 100th !!! .....I mean look at Harley Davidson & now they're better than ever ! :D

I think it will be interesting to see how the Corvette marque is handled when the internal combustion engines are the minority and antiquated. Will GM hold out like they have on the pushrod engine or will they be at the edge of the new technology like they were with the dawn of the fuelie? Not even GM knows for certain...that is the only thing that is certain! :yesnod:

As long as GM can make a profit on the Corvette, it will continue to be built.

How this A hydrogen or fuel cell powered corvette for the C7-C-8
Using a super conductor magnet (not possible now but soon)
The set up:

Electric super conductor motor (600 hp)+ Drive shaft+ rear mounted transmission = A CORVETTE C-7 or C-8
The next fuel cell cars will not resemble electric cars of the past, due to complex electronics’ involved.
And there are reliability problems.

The New Super conductor ‘s when they come on line that is will be more suited for performance based cars.
In fact GM is fully aware of this.

We will probably see them on the racetrack first.

Consumers need confidence that the new cars will be better then what we have right now.
Give us more HP and let me sleep at night
