Little red corvette dent
Hi i am new so forgive if this is wrong. i have a 2006 c6 base with mods, and my question is that my car has been sitting in my garage for a month now as i am out of town. my brother starts my car weekly and he noticed a buckle in the drivers side rear lower panel behind the tire.i must say to that i live in Florida (hot) he has not driven the car do you think that the heat would do this. yes i am sure my bother is telling me the truth lol. has anyone had this issue. Thank you

Burning Brakes
I live in Louisiana and I don't believe I've ever seen heat do this. If anything, i would think heat would make something expand. You brother may very well be telling the truth, but that doesn't mean some one else didn't hit your car....

something hit it....I live in Florida...the only time I have seen a "dent" in SMC on a Corvette in the rear is when they have been hit.....that looks to be hit low....mine got hit from the side hard enough to bend the metal brackets that hold the rear bumper cover / fascia to the rear quarter panel.....that is NOT heat related if it was all the Corvettes in Florida would be a mess

Safety Car
Pour a pot of boiling or very hot water over it and pop it back out. You can use a plunger or stick your hand up under and pop it out. You'll have to rewax your ride afterwards.

From the the looks of the first picture. Something came down on the bumper cover and buckled the side. It looks separated at the top and slanted down. Id think there would be scratches from the garage door on the top part of the bumper cover. Check the bottom of the garage door.
This would cause that too.

Safety Car
Is it possible that someone leaned on the back end or sort of sat on it (like when you have your back to the car and you're talking to someone and you sort of sit back)? His brother may not even realize that he or someone else he was talking to did that. Maybe brother will step up and pay for at least half of the repair.
