This morning I bought a $5 subscription which was supposed to get me 5 vin buildsheets. I was supposed to receive a passcode and link to their sign in webpage but never did. I emailed them and 10 hours later, still no response.
Are these guys legit?
It's only 5 bucks but there was a time when even only a $5 bill would still get you what you paid for, and sometimes even a kiss to go with it.
I sent them the $5.00 and had to keep emailing them to get a code to use took probably a month then ran my vin and all it did was list all the options for all the 2008 corvettes.
Definitely not what I was looking for, hope you have better luck.
You can get the VIN build sheets for free from any GM dealer. Ask them to run a GMVIS report - tells you the date the car was built, all the RPO codes and any service work done by GM.
I called them this morning and after a couple of glitches, Jason was able to email my passcode and I was able to get my build sheet.
I am aware of the VIS reports available through a GM dealer (acutually it must be a Chevrolet dealer, according to the Cadillac dealer that I happened to be in) but I wanted something immediately as I am soon going to visit the car.
