Base pricing

What I have in mind is working a swap with someone as I did a few years ago. I want a loaded Red Coupe with a auto transmission. I traded a 2003 Auto Convertible for this car and the car is great but shifting is killing my shoulders and back!
KBB shows the Coupe base price at $46,100 and the Convertible at $54,575. As I stated, my window sticker shows a base price of $53,510?
The bottom line is, what should I expect the difference to be between my car and a comparably equipped Coupe assuming the miles are the same?
I had the car I want now, a red coupe but it had been modded so I swapped it for a 03 Z06 and some cash. Any ideas?
Bye the way, the current car is my 14th but my wife of 48 years is used to it now!

It is convertible weather so the vert will probably run $3-5k higher than a coupe at this time.
So, you should be able to come up one model year (2009 coupe).
Waiting much longer (Sept/Oct), the market drops for the vert so you may wind up 2008 coupe for 2008 vert if you really want a A6 coupe.
Good luck.
BTW, I traded in a 2014 2LT A6 vert for a 2013 MN6 3LT GS vert last November. Even up.
I think the problem you'll find is that coupe guys tend to stay that way and wouldn't be interested in a convertible, especially if you expect them to pay more. I guess there's a chance you can find a dealer who thinks convts are more desirable and you haggle a trade with them.
Regarding your sticker price, my guess would be that Chevy did a price adjustment mid year which was not rare and KBB used the higher of the two. IIRC yours is a very early '08?

As jaki said IF you can find the coupe to convertible person you should be able to jump a year in an even (?) trade.

But you are correct, in recent years the Convertible has been more expensive! And from the numbers that I see, around $7,000 more!

It all depends on where you are and who is in the market and what they are looking for.
I absolutely did NOT want a convert and did NOT want a stick; some guys are the opposite. Or whatever.
The final deal you make determines the value at that location and at that point in time.

THIS^ Back in March I paid under $20k for my 08 coupe with 38k on the od. Very clean and taking care of 2 owner car.
