Leaving Bullhead City, AZ Monday on a 15 day trip taking me along I-40 to Little Rock, up to the Vette Museum in Bowling Green (I know about the factory tours being closed), on to Cincinnati, Cleveland, Wisconsin and then to I-80 with a weekend detour in Logan, Utah before heading down I-15 home. Would appreciate any info on construction/detours, lodging anywhere on the route and of course Highway Patrol. I will be using a Valentine One and Waze. I also will be packing and noticed my CCW is good in 25 states so will put my handgun in the trunk when going through non-permitted states. Lastly, noticed lots of rain in the forecast - hope for no hail. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide !

Well, there are a pile of things to see... Mammoth Cave just N/E of Bowling Green, Makers Mark Distillery in Loretto, about an hour from Lexington, Fort Knox/Patton museum just South of Louisville, the U.S. Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio between Cincinnati and Columbus.
Glad I'm in AZ now but I sure miss those areas...

If you like military aircraft there is NO museum better than the Air Force Museum. Check out their website.

Just finished a trip from Atlanta to SD, WY, UT, CO and back, One from Atlanta to AZ, NM, CO and back lots of construction on Intersates, heavy truck traffic and LEO's. Just got back from Michigan and there is awful traffic jams in Cincinnati due to construction. Tried to stay off the Interstates as much as possible, less traffic and no lasers. Have 9500ix.
Can't give you much specifics but just think that most heavy and long-winter states like MN, WI, MI all have two seasons: winter and road repair. No kidding. I think it was Bing maps that used to list the construction zones in your itin. As to V1, I hope it's up to date with improvements or you'll get lots of bad beeps from those electic road signs, LED dashes, etc.
PS just thought of this one, Mamotors, aka Mid America Corv. parts in Effingham, IL. They have a museum (http://www.mygaragemuseum.com) Not sure how good, not been to it. Just saw his 5 car-Corvettes he donated to the Pierce Arrow Museum in Buffalo, NY.
Have a safe and great trip! Keep pics. Show them while on the road or when you get home.
Unless time is a big factor, stay off the boring Interstates whenever possible.
If nothing else, after you leave Logan, get off I-15 at MP 244 onto US 6 into NV and drop down to Vegas on US 93. You'll see some great country without traffic and you can really get a gallop going too.
Lots of construction on I-75 in Cincinnati. The Brent Spence Bridge ( I-75 ) is currently being repaved and major backups both north and south. You might want to take I-275 around Cinci. Cinci is a great place to stop and explore but a pain to get to at this time.
Thanks to all who replied. In Cincy (golf & Bengals pre-season game)I will actually be staying in Loveland therefore will take the I-275. As I've driven 66 in the past, this is a destination drive with straight line/speed as the primary goal. In addition to the above activities others include two Presidential Libraries, Vette Museum, R'nR HOF, Kayak in Sturgeon Bay, more golf with friends and meeting up with family for fun at Bear Lake in Idaho.
The R'nR is the only reason I'm going to Cleveland and you may be correct as a friend who has been to Cooperstown said Canton wasn't that big a deal in comparison. I visited the Packer HOF last year plus going to the Bengals game this time will satisfy my football fix. Besides, now I can say I've done everything by spending the night in the Land.

Enjoyed visiting the RnR HOF. Fortunately the only Bengals I've been to was here in Tampa.
Unless there's a compelling reason you want to visit Cleveland, I'd skip it and go to Detroit instead.
Screw Detroit, and the rest of the wolverine state! When you are in Cleveland stop at Superior Restaurant or Slyman's and get one of the best corned beef sandwiches you will ever have!
Then when you are headed west stop at Cedar Point, America's roller coast, and hit the best roller coasters in the land!!!!
