The wife and I went to breakfast and when we came out the Vette wouldn't start. I played with things for a bit before calling in a tow truck.
Off to the dealer went the Vette. They called and said it was the fuel pump. I live in California and he said the part is $500 with $2000 to install it.
I took the car to my friend's shop and he did the whole thing-with towing-for $1500.
They had to take half the car apart to get to the fuel pump.
Now it starts right up and I am cruising again...

That's a good price I assume it is an automatic. I had it replaced on my 2008 under recall in January because I started getting the common fuel smell.
