2008 sound system adjustments
I have had my car for 2 years now. It came with Navigation and lifetime subscription to satellite radio. I just discovered why the radio sounds great on some stations and not good on others. Each channel you select can be set up for bass, mid-range, treble and balance separately. So let's say you set one channel for maximum bass because it's rock, the next channel you may want more treble because it's classical. Some channels on mine were at minimum for each - no wonder it sounded bad. I find also, that it sounds better in manual with nearly maximum bass, mid and treble than any of the auto EQ settings.
Best regards

My 2008 has XM and the original owner purchased the lifetime service program. I got almost three years out of the service before they cut it off. XM is not transferable to a new owner - enjoy it while you can. How they found out the car was sold, I don't know.

2 years of ownership and you never spotted the mention of this feature in the Owner's Manual?
The presets are also fob-specific, fob-1 can save/recall different tone settings/etc from fob-2.

More than likely, the old owner bought a new car and contacted them for service, and happened to mentioned that he no longer owned yours.

I'm going to look in the manual. If it's not there, I'm coming over there

There's also a feature that lets you return all the tone controls to their 'middle' setting with just a button press.

I picked up a '13 couple last month and it came with the POS nav...does this feature also come in my car so I don't have to read the owners manual?

"2013 Chevrolet Corvette Navigation System
-Infotainment System
-Sound Menu
Press SOUND at the bottom of the main audio screen or source menu to change the tone, ATC, fade, and balance for all sources.
-Adjusting the Speakers:
ATC (Auto Tone Control): The ATC feature is used to provide a choice of six different listening experiences. ATC can be used while listening to the audio system or the CD player. The audio system can store separate ATC settings for each source and preset station. To save ATC settings for the preset stations, use the SOUND menu and press ATC. See “Preset Stations” earlier in this section."

Your owners manual sounds more detailed than mine. I think my system sounds better in manual mode rather than ATC - but then again I have serious hearing loss at higher frequencies. Let us know if the sound quality is better. And, you get two gold stars from **** Jockey!
