As the C6 gets older and cheaper, it seems like we are now starting to get many new members to this forum ... and age of the average poster appears to be getting younger and younger ... and many of the threads now seem to be getting stupider and sillier.
Or is it just me that has noticed this strange phenomenon ?

Newp... I notice this as well in the Wrangler forums (my other vehicle). If you take a look at the "new to me" threads, the older the cars, the younger the posters, and the ...... how should we say, less substantive the posts? (trying to be nice)
In the wrangler forum many new to the forum posters are looking for a deal on some "sick wheels bro". meh.

Glad they are getting cheaper! Just purchased a nice 07 for 16k, now if those hemi cudas would drop a few hundred thousand! The mopar sites are loosing members due to age, and little interest in younger people, also younger members there didnt get treated well since they could only get into lower end cars like darts or 4 doors so they end up leaving and joining Facebook groups.

I noticed this as well but wasn't sure if it was because some of us here are just becoming delusional due to age LOL
But yes, its sad to see really. Such a great sports car...

That one or the one about the guy that found a half filled water bottle on his cowl or the guy was clocked at 136 mph and cop says nice car bro!
RRIIGGHHTT,, I don't mean to come off like a dyck but I don't think some of these posters know what a 10mm wrench looks like.
A shame cause there are some very sharp guys on this forum that probably no longer post because of this.

But people sometimes like to share their experiences with others.
I know I did, with my C5, I had a bad experience with a dealer and I posted here. The next day the people from this forum came to my rescue and sent so many emails to the dealer it shut down their server.

Its a good sign. If enough younger dumber people buy, abuse and destroy enough C6s then we'll have collectables.

I still check this forum several times each day but I rarely post anymore. Still fun to read all the new threads but I just don't feel like getting involved most of the time. Had one of the new trolls pm me some bull sh*t just last week. Easier to stay on the sidelines and watch.

It is amazing how these forums evolve. I saw it in the C4 even though the forum didn't start until the C5 came out. When I got my '05 in '07 I would ask simple repair questions and the first answer (and nearly every other one too!) would be "take it to the dealer". Now that is the last place you would ever take it to! Then I got my second C4 and went back over there and it was a complete different world just as it is now that I'm back to C6.

You would hope that these new owners would do a little research here on the Forum before they make a purchase and at least recognize that the C6 has some quirks and that maybe they should heed the oft-repeated advice to read the damn Owners Manual.
Then you see a thread about somebody crawling into their car after the battery has died, to open their door (or not being able to in a convertible) and you just have to shake your head.
By far the most inane thread was from the owner who thought his car was being hacked while he was driving it. Sheesh.
I guess it's just "progress".

You could try hanging out in the C1 and C2 forum. I bet there is very few young people asking stupid **** over there. j/k
Really the problem is every question that could possibly be asked has been asked a million times. If I don't like the title of a thread I don't click on it.

Has happened on every forum I've been part of. "It is what it is". I figure in order to find a forum where everyone is of similar age you need a car like Ferrari, where even the old cars cost a fortune. But then you gotta deal with some obnoxious egos. So I'll stick to this place.
