Sonax wheel cleaner
I saw this product on a TV show, so I thought I would buy some on Amazon. It's pretty strange it goes on green then turns red when it
reacts with the brake dust and iron on the wheels/drums. The wheels look very good I'm actually surprised.

Sonax works well for me as well.

I buy Sonax by the gallon - much less expensive that way. I've been using this for a long time - and never found anything that comes close to matching it. It works great on all surfaces including chrome and polished surfaces. BMWs have terrible brake dusting, this stuff breaks it down quickly. I seal the wheels with Wheel Wax. Using both products together the wheels on all my vehicles are always standing tall, especially the Vette

I got no opinion on Sonax except that it is PRICEY as I looked it up at WallyWorld.
I just bought a spray bottle of Super Clean after seeing it on YouTube and it works really well. The bottle was pricey but still lower than Sonax, you can buy it by the gallon for about $9.00 which would make a lot of spray bottles.
Sorry to hi jack but thought you might like to compare the 2 products
NSF
PS Scott in this video is long winded so fast forward to the cleaning part lol

I use this to help clean wheels
Purple Power... buy in bulk (gallon or more) and a $1.00 spray bottle...

I've used Sonex and it works pretty well. But Meguiar's Dub works just as well at half the price.
Both are rather malodorous.

Not sure where it exactly says that... there are some warnings about not using it as a "car wash" (i.e., probably not a good idea to put it on paint...).
I've used a light spray on my OEM chrome wheels (and barrels) and then use one of those "pine cone" wheel brushes to clean away brake dust and have had no problems. I do not spray it on the paint (body parts).

purple power is not safe on aluminum, doesn't mean it doesn't work but it will turn a polished wheel into a dull wheel if left on a little to long.
sonax works ok sometimes for me, i actually really like the carpro iron x. its the same as sonax but much stronger. the only downfall of them all is the after smell they leave where you wash the car. they hands down just stink.
