Been having a problem lately, Doors will not unlock and sometimes when I go to start the car it tells me no fob detected. I'm hoping that someone here has an answer .
Thanks
My 05 started doing this when it was about 5 years old. Replaced the battery including fobs. Seemed to help somewhat. But problem continued. Never got too bad, but it was a excellent reminder on how to open the doors manually from inside. Problems disappeared in '13 when I sold it.
I'd bet dying battery in your fob or it's sitting in the same pocket as your cell phone. The only time I've ever seen the no fob issue was when I had a hole in my right pocket & my keys were in my left pocket on top of my cell phone.
GM says fob batteries should last about 3 years, but forum members have expressed some widely varying experiences with that.
I'd change the fob battery and make sure nothing is getting in the way of the fob signal to the car. Also be sure there's no cell phone being charged in the electric plug in the car console.
If you still have a problem after that, think about replacing the car battery.
