How is the battery in the fob? Also could be interference from other electronic devices. Cell phone too close perhaps.

So,Erie s if the fob is in the same pocket as my cell phone the car won't start...simply take fob out of pocket and the car starts...
Been doing this thing for almost a decade sometimes..
Radiowave interference. Simple solution when the D.I. C says no fob detected.
Took it to the dealer said its normal...and to just take fob out of pocket near the cell phone...
Otherwise replace the battery in car...or try the fob slot in glovebox to energize key fob battery enough to send signal.
I have 113k miles on my c6 since new....I find I replace the battery in car every 27 to 36 months even with the original AV Delco 42 month battery...
Couldn't tell you why...but it's so easy and inexpensive...again...just a heads up on what I would look at step by step...
Maybe this could help..good luck

OP came back to the forum at 8:59 AM (CDT), but didn't respond to our posts. Guess he's decided to go ahead and call a tow truck.
Don't understand why anyone would post a Help Wanted thread, then not respond to the help posts.

Seriously, although GM says you should get about 3 years from a fob battery, many forum members have received less time from a fob, some have received 4 or 5 years from one.

Just replaced my fob batt after about 3-4 years. Would get the no fob detected note and just thought i might as well start with the simplest fix first. So far so good. We shall see.

"In honor of jpee"
I'm detecting a bit of animosity toward those who ASK for help or state a problem, and NEVER return to say anything----like "thanks," "I got it worked out," "I did call the tow truck--silly me," etc.
I can't imagine why......j/k. Hey OP Ritorna a Me!

They aren't after help, they are after attention to see what fools, (us) will respond.

Probably because they are trolls, attention seekers, agitators. Like the guy that can't figure out how to clean his windshield or the guy that can't understand why his auto C6 won't come out of park.

We've had a few over the last 4 weeks. As my Math professor used to say "It may be so, but I don't know, it sounds like bull to me"
My suspicions included, bamiyan, blazinjames, wifiog, Munir, musiqone, soodabeh, Munir, manzar.

Started a new thread about something else instead of responding to this one.

Nothing capitalized, no punctuation (including no question mark after a question) the letter "u" instead of "you," several run-on sentences/fragments strung together, etc. It doesn't necessarily mean the person is a troll -- just that they're young.
Ah, government schools . . . ain't they great?
