Sell C6 for a Porsche Cayman S?

I say screw' em. In the long run, even if they're free, you're underwater.
Ask someone that tried to make a daily driver with a VW or lower end Audi or Beemer. They only make that mistake once.
Why do they make kits to replace a Porsche engine with a lighter and more powerful LS3?
The otherside, is why can't Chevy make a 'vette with the feel of the German cars.
Or even an Accord?

Chevy can't make a Vette with the feel of the Germans because for most of their existence they did not have the engineering expertise required to make the car have that feel, nor were they willing to spend the money to make it happen.

Low quality post. Talks about VWs and Audi/beemer.

Regarding daily drivers, the black Jetta in the photo crapped out its turbo engine at 60k miles because VW/Audi can't make a reliable timing chain adjuster for their most popular engine.

If GM spent more money to upscale a car like a Vette to be similar to some of the higher-priced options mentioned throughout this thread, it would be harder for them to offer at the prices found throughout the model-line (options / no options). Being one of the best price-performers in this segment is one of the hallmarks of this GM offering.
Anyone with sufficient funds (or perhaps credit limit) can certainly obtain any number of performance vehicles that exceed some of the attributes of a Vette.
In the context of the original post of "Vette or Cayman" many good points have been brought fwd.
At the end of the day.... everyone buys what THEY want -- with all the bells/whistles and warts. Talking smack about someone's choice or preference isn't cool.... just say'n.

Chevy certainly hasn't been able to make the Malibu competitive to an Accord.
But it all fairness, the C7 has upped the game quite a bit so far as the quality of the interior. And a Corvette drives like a Corvette, nothing wrong with that.
