Hi guys i woke up today to go to work and right after starting the car i get service tpsm. what would be the fix for this and how much? i have a 2010 grand sport with 41,000 miles
Does the message keep repeating after several ignition cycles? What does each tire say as far as psi?
eta: how old is your car battery?
yes i tried it again 20 minutes ago and it popped up again. also tire pressure reading on the gauge would not move at all. i drove the car for a solid 15 mins atleast. battery is 1.5 yrs

I found one they read XXXX the battery is dead, if it shows 0, or 20 pounds, get them reset, most dealerships, at least mine doesn't charge to have them reset.
My car is 2005, and the backs are still original, front I changed last year.

Are you saying that one of mine that gives a false reading once in a while for the last two years might just need the TPMS to be reprogammed to correct?
Use a hand held air gauge to make sure of the pressure. Next, the dealership will reprogram it free. And when they do it will go like this; L.F. 1 horn beep--R.F. 1 horn beep--R.R.--1 horn beep--L.R. 2 horn beeps. (See this on U tube video so you'll know what the heck to expect.)

Try it, what do you have loose, my rear hasn't given any problems to date, and there still original's.

Don't take it to the dealer. My right front monitor showed 0psi pressure shortly after I bought my 05. It showed 30psi with a hand held gauge. The dealer wanted $300.00 to replace it. I didn't know better so I let them do it. A couple weeks ago the service tire monitor came on. The DIC showed xxxx on the left front and the gauge showed 30psi. This time I took it to Discount tire and they confirmed the battery was completely dead. They replaced TPM for $64.00 parts and labor including programming all 4.
On my '08, I started getting intermediate messages about 2 yrs ago. They always went away, but would return after 1-3 months. So your '10 sensors could be starting to fail also. It appears that they can last 5-10 yrs. I just waited it out for about a year till I needed new tires. I replaced them all at that time because I didn't need to get every last day of service out of the sensors. The install costs with new tires was minimal. Parts cost the same when ever you do it.
Had the same problem with my 2010 Grandsport as well and just had it fixed at the dealer.
I was getting the "Service TPMS" message and one of the rear sensors reading XXX intermittently for the past 2 years (about 90% left rear and 10% right rear). Every time I took it in, it would reset before they could diagnose (or they had a bonehead tech once or twice but that's different story) The XXX reading would stay one for a while then reset and start showing pressure again. The left rear sensor would also "freeze" and show the same pressure even when the other 3 would heat up and pressure raise.
It's early for a 2010 TPMS to fail (they said that 7 years is on the extreme early side of the range but still within the age range for failure). I was able to get it in yesterday and have them replace the left rear sensor under warranty (It started when I still had the certified pre-owned warranty and I have the extended warranty beyond that). I asked them how much to replace the other rear as well, since it would occasionally show issues to. They charged me $100 to take care of it. (I figured not too bad, the sensor itself is around $60 and they have to remove the tire, remount and re-balance...) So I have 2 new sensors in the rear now. Hopefully it really was the cause... and that the fronts don't start acting up.
