The long elegant hood and the two V8s in the Vette remind me of the classic 16 cylinder Bugatti automobiles of the 1920s and 1930s.

I can't recall the publication or date, but I do recall seeing this in a magazine decades ago. It was a drag car, and very nicely done. Much along the lines of the early-60's multi-engine dragsters, the most popular being "Freight Train".

Seems like this is what happens to so many former race cars...a shame. May not look cool now, but in the day, it was.
