I was out driving yesterday after changing my oil and doing a little maintanence on my Grand Sport when I got stopped by a train on my way back home. A nice looking truck pulled up next to me. I glanced over to my right and noticed the driver looking at my car. He rolled down his window and said, “That sure is a sweet ride you got there. The color, the wheels, everything”. I thanked him and proceeded to tell him a little about my car. He said, “That sure must be fun to drive”. I assured him that he was correct!
The train passed by and the crossing arms went up. I thanked him again and wished him well. I was happy that a total stranger took notice of my car and was so kind with his complements. I, like many of you, don’t drive my cars in an effort to receive compliments from people, but it’s nice to get one every now and then. We all work hard and do our best to maintain our Corvettes. I’m a car enthusiast and have been my whole life. It’s always great to have someone else share the love for our cars!
If the driver I talked to reads this I hope he knows how appreciated his kind words were!
Last note: this man reminded me of my brother who died in 2008. My brother had a brand new 2008 Red Corvette when he died. I’ll post a picture of him and his car soon.

This is my first corvette, and its not till you own one that you understand the sensation of driving one and what it entails. from just sitting in and starting it up to pulling out the drive way fighting the temptation to give it a nice 1st gear pull to feel the power! down here in south texas we are getting pounded with rain and i just don't enjoy driving mine in this weather because there are some very ignorant people that don't know how to drive in rain! but im just waiting for the weather to clear up so i can once again find any excuse to go for a quick cruise.
Thanks RickCC6.
Your red coupe looks great. I agree with you. I rarely even leave home on rainy days much less take my Vette out. This is my second C6 Corvette. I love these cars! Enjoy!
Looked better with black wheels Joe BTW have you sold them yet ?

Hey brother, I hear you. The black does look great on our SSB Coupes, but I’m just old school I guess! (I like them both). Heck, I might keep mine and just change them out every 6 months to use both.
That being said, they have not sold. The forum member interested found some in his area and passed on mine. You still in the market?

Yep but depends on the price, shipping adds up fast if you decide to split them off the tires LMK, and as always price also
