Shifter cylinod/module?

2006 coupe with paddle shifters. Car came out of park. But only neutral and drive function. Car will start in neutral.
what is needed to repair and what is cost?

I had to have the shifter cable replaced after I lost everything in my 2008 Vert.
The Dealer charged me 330.00 for the repair. Cable was 54.00 and the rest was labor and tax. Labor rate was 100.00 per hour.
