Trailering the Vette, How to tie it down?

Trailering the Vette, How to tie it down?
Not sure if this is the right spot, no sub sections really cover trailing so feel free to move if one sub section better fits this post.
How do you guys tie down your Vettes on trailers? I recently bought the tie downs that go over the tires but with the vette being so low I know its going to rub on the body. Do you guys have a tried and true way of securing the car? I might just put some straps through the wheel spokes but just curious if anything else is out there.
This is the strap I bought but you can see where on a vette these wouldn't really work that well.

Thanks in advance

Take a regular bath towel, put in between the slots in the wheels. Run the strap through the slots over the top of the towel (to keep straps from marking wheels). Other end of straps to D rings in trailer. Ratchet tight. Car sits at regular height and takes advantage of shocks to keep car tight.
Or order a set of tie downs from Mac's Custom Tie Downs. They have padded covers that go over the straps to protect the wheels finish.

They do have track compatible straps but if you have e-Track I would use the wheel nets instead of through the wheel.

I use "T Hooks" that fit in the slots in the frame (also used for jacking pucks) along with Mac's Tie Downs with excellent results. Here is a pic of the hook:

I like to have the suspension compressed when I am trailering. Let the suspension on the trailer absorb the bumps.

yup, use those factory tether points...it will still travel a bit and be really secure.
