You can find a new CD on ebay for a lot cheaper. I just bought one to upgrade my 2011 model and paid $69. GM disc not a copy.
I have a version 7:00 GM#20980238 if your interested in purchase.
Thanks for the info. Is there a certain procedure? or just install the new disc in the DVD?
Nothing special, just eject the old map DVD and insert the new map and close the screen. It doesn't actually install anything but just reads the new disc when using navigation.
Just updated my map DVD on my 2007 to 2016 version 10 map DVD for a total cost delivered of $8.49
Just search eBay for DVD Map Update GM p/n: 23286274
You will have multiple choices between $8 and $10
Just adding a photo of the actual DL map DVD I received. It works perfect and looks and performs like the prior 3 map updates I purchased from the GM site.

That's good to know. I will be receiving mine any day now. The last time I upgraded my disc was about 10 years ago.

Thank you very much for your post. Received my disc today, ejected, installed and all is perfect. It's sad to read that some members have paid $60 to $200 for a copy that can be purchased for $8.49 and free shipping. I know the the members make the forum, glad to be part. Thanks again.

Your welcome
It was nice to finally see the road I live on show up on the nav screen, before when I was nearing my home it showed me driving in the middle of a open field.
Before you purchase a $9 disk, suggest that you read this: http://www.ebay.com/gds/How-to-spot-...7086108/g.html
I should have read that first before I ordered one for $9, because as it turns out, it was a copy, and not an original disk. Then I decided to do what I should have done at the start, and checked the one-star ratings that the vendor had received. They got lots of good ratings, but the one-star ratings really tell the tale. Some of the recipients were claiming that it more or less ruined their NAV system. There is no way that disk was going into my NAV system. Not only that, when you look at the bigger picture, the vendor is using the USPS to supply illegal copies of DVDs. My disk went into the garbage.
Maybe some of the vendors are legit, but you have to ask yourself how they can sell a 'new' version of the DVD, worth $180 at the retail level, for around $9.

I had to pay $9.95 for mine, shipping included. It arrived today and works well. I ejected the old one from 2011, and just popped the new one in and after a few minutes the "insert map dvd" message went away and I had updated maps. I know it is updated because the 2011 dvd did not show some roads in a new subdivsion where I have friends. The new dvd also has all the lower 48 included, which the 2011 dvd did not. Since my driveway is quite long and not close to the road, I had to drive up and down my street until the street name showed at the bottom and then I was able to program in destinations. The instructions that came with mine did say I might need to drive on a road before it would become fully functional. My seller said it was a backup dealer version that had never been used. I took it out of the jewel case and there were no marks or scratches on it. Unfortunately I think I got the last one from this particular seller. I figured for $9.95 was low risk with high upside potential and using Paypal, if it didn't work I would just send it back. Thanks for the tip.

Just saying.
Of course it's an illegal copy at $9, anyone who didn't know that is an idiot. However, there is no way it's going to damage a NAV system, that's just FUD.
