Default Wrapping the interior

I guess I went a little crazy wrapping the interior with carbon fiber wrap. Needless to say most of it went pretty good, but that center console was a pain in the *** for sure. Somehow managed to get it in one piece. Helps having another person to hold and heat like ive read on other posts.

WOW
... I think you did a better job than I did and I get lots of compliments on my console. < I won't post a pic, don't want to steal your thunder>

I've got a few questions.
  • That's 3M DiNoc correct ?
  • How did you remove the bezels on the door panel ?
  • Did you do anything special to wrap the bezels ?

Again that is an awesome 10/10 job, from someone who has also done it.

Yea I used the 3M 1080 Carbon Wrap Dry, I like the texture and its not too shiney.

The bezels on the door panel the door opener just pops off, but the rest you have to remove the panel itself to get to. The panel was pretty easy to remove, then from there you will see some plastic studs with metal washers that hold the bezel piece on where the lock button is and the seat memory buttons. I broke two of them trying to remove but I used some small screws with some washers to fix that since they have holes there anyway. And the window switch they say you can remove it without removing the door panel, but mine wouldnt come out and I heard the metal clips fall off when I tried to pull it so I just pulled the door panel and loosened the arm rest area to get it out.

And no just used some rubbing alcohol to clean them and then heated the vinyl up before applying. Then just heated and stretched over the edges.

Took me a little while to get use to the material as you pretty much heat it up to almost melting point to get it to stretch good. I was just happy to get that damn center console done as it took me two tries to get it .

I took it off as it was messed up on one of the corners. Im thinking about plastidipping the chrome part and putting some tinted vinyl I got over the flag part. Or who knows just rewrapping it in carbon fiber and cutting out the middle section.

Had to do the badges, but added a insert to tie it all together and not be too much carbon fiber.
