Default radiator support broken nut insert

As im getting farther into my twin turbo build I noticed my radiator support was broken on one side. As I was taking it off I noticed that the front nut insert broke loose and the bolt and nut insert just spin on the inside of the frame. Has anyone had this happen? I was able to put enough pressure on the nut insert to get the bolt off, but I obviously wont be able to tighten it down. I did not see any access holes in the frame to replace it or weld the nut back to the frame.. Anyone have any ideas?? My build is kind at a stand still till I can get the radiator support back on.

If the radiator support is cracked a little you can usually get this re-welded by anyone that can weld aluminum.

The riv-nut replacement: I have heard some folks that just drilled the hole all the way through and used a traditional bolt/nut combination if the riv-nut was broken.

I could fix the support myself but it is all bent up and I would rather just buy a new one. I was more concerned about the nut insert. I couldn't find any access holes to get a hold of a nut on the inside of the frame. Therefor a standard nut and bolt would not work.

you'll have to look around but the DO make a "riv-nut" fix for that

New radiator supports don't come with riv nuts attached. You will have to buy the nuts separate and install with riv nut tool.

I forgot about actual riv nuts, i am just going to drill out the old one and replace it with a riv nut.
