I just put in a battery in my 09 Z06. AutoZone Duralast Gold T5-DLG. I had the predecessor version in the car for seven years (car has low miles and is on a CTEK all the time). When I got a battery back in 2010 the Duralast Gold had good reviews.
All mainstream (lead acid) batteries are made by only a few manufacturers (Johnson Controls, East Penn, and Exide). But the specs that they are built to will differ between brands. AGMs may last longer, but are also more expensive. Then you have Braille, Optima, and other high end options. By the way, Optima is a Johnson Controls brand (and Johnson Controls also builds the AutoZone Duralast ones as well).
Make sure your new battery has vent tube access (for the interior cabin application). A carrying handle to ease the installation also helps.
