Rear Hatch Shaking?

Rear Hatch Shaking?
I've noticed my rear hatch seems to be shaking and making noise. There is also air noise coming from one side.
I've lowered the 4 rubber pieces and made sure they touch which they do... i've checked ever bolt and tightened everything but it's still shaking and there is an air noise coming from one side at 50+, clearly audible on highways...
I looked at the seals and they look perfectly identical on both sides I cant tell whats wrong... Looking for advice.

There was a recall on the rear hatch hinges a while back on the 2011 and 2012 C6 vehicles.
11258B - Rear Hatch separation in a crash.
Dealers replace both rear hatch hinges.

Had an '06 & hatch hinges were loose, back in the day this was a known issue from BG. Several members even reported one of their hinges (plate) fell off.
Been some years ago, now; but, a known item to check if/when hatch looseness was reported.
Recheck all fastening bolts, IIRC a couple are somewhat hidden.
Can't think of what else w/could cause this.

Other than the hinge re.call, OP seems like you did some good work.
Only so many items can cause a loose hatch.
You ask for some ideas:
1) Check the tightness of the seal against the glass with a slip of paper.
2) Press down on glass at latch...is it loose.
3) Press glass side to side...condition of hinges.
4) Did you load something that the hatch closed on bending or cracking some component.
5) Find a parts diagram or service manual for guidance...for example a missing rubber bumper.
Good luck.

Nick, could it be you tightened bolts when hatch had already come out of alignment?
If this is plausible, hatch probably needs to be properly refitted now.
No amount of weather strip will eliminate shaking/looseness/whistling, it doesn't fit correctly.
A Corvette specialist/exotic bodywork would be ideal, Chevy dealer w/ body shop last choice. As long as they've done hatch alignments.
Well worth the $ in potential trial-n-error aggravation.
If getting it right is like other C6 fixes, it won't exactly be straight forward.
A shop whose done this before w/could do it in <hour for a few bucks.

Not knowing what is/isn't correct is a lot of trial-and-error.
What's your time worth?
Been years since this issue last came up, a member posted an exploded diagram of rear hatch et al + how it attaches.
A 'procedure' exists for properly centering hatch removing all guessing.
IIRC it's in C6 body shop service manual & same for all MY C6.
For some reason I seem to recall there're assembly markings on hinge plates, something pros might look for straight away so closely inspect.
Bottom line an out of alignment hatch will never fit, properly. FWIW
G/L, update thread for future reference.
