Memory Reset

What model year C6 do you have and I'll tell you what pages it's on in your owner's manual?
create an account, and download the manual for your car. It's useful.
I've got an '11 Auto, so I can only quote from that manual, and use what I know from how that vehicle operates:
"On vehicles with the memory
feature, the controls on the driver
door are used to program and recall
memory settings for the driver seat,
outside mirrors, and the telescopic
steering column, if equipped."
So, look on the door and see if you have two buttons labeled 1 and 2. These are used to recall and store driver features, including the seat position for two different drivers. Note this well: if you have the two original key fobs, and no one has screwed around with the vehicle recognition of those fobs, then fobs 1 and 2 correspond to the buttons I mentioned above. You can store driver preferences by setting things like the seat, steering wheel tilt (I think) and telescope, radio preselects (I think), L & R mirror positions, and so on into the positions that you want to drive with. From the manual"
"To save into memory:
1. Adjust the driver seat, both
outside mirrors, and the
telescopic steering column,
if equipped.
2. Press and hold “1” until
two beeps sound.
3. Repeat for a second driver
position using “2.”
The reason I said "Note this well", is because the number on the fob does not necessarily correspond to the order in which it was introduced to the car. You can find out more about that on this forum. The short of it is that you can reprogram the fob order yourself, so if you got a used car, no telling what the fob order might be now.
Assuming for now that we've programmed driver #1, if you unlock and enter the car using fob #1, the seat, mirrors, etc should all return to the positions that you saved, regardless of how they have been moved around in the interim. You can also have the vehicle recall the saved positions by quickly pressing and releasing the corresponding number on the driver's door. Similarly, if you have a second driver who wants to store their preferences, just have them set things the way they want (seat, mirror, etc), and then press and hold button #2 on the door. If they get into the car by themselves using fob #2 (and they don't have fob #1 on them), then the car will recall the saved positions for driver #2. If two people get into the car, one with fob #1, and the other with fob #2, I believe the lower number fob takes precedence when you start the car. Doesn't matter, because you can recall either driver after the fact by quickly pressing and releasing the buttons on the door.
You can have up to 4 fobs that the car will recognize, but you can only save driver preferences for fobs 1 & 2.
