One of our local dealers just got in a 2007 base auto with the z51 package and a tad over 65k mileage.
After they did the normal check up, they put on a new set of Goodyears, new brakes and new rotors. On top of this they put on a new harmonic balancer.
They won't come lower than 18K plus the ttl.
Given that pickens are so slim here in the area when it comes to early C6's this seems somewhat of an acceptable price to me.
As much as I'd love to wait and get one with a little lower mileage, my wife is determine to wear out my 06 if I don't buy her one of her own soon. Last night when she came home from work, she was doing donuts out in front of the house.
07, Z51, new tires, brakes, rotors, HB for 18K? If the car is nice and clean that is a good price. 65k miles is nothing. Clean Carfax with no accidents?
Sounds like a good deal to me. Any warranty come with it?
Sounds good! Even though the Goodyears are new factor in new tires not too far down the road. Can't get an extended warranty so make sure everything is good.
We stopped by the dealership and they have the car in their service garage. Someone found something wrong with it. The sales manager said it won't go "on sale" until Monday. He didn't say what they were fixing.
Sounds a lot like the 07 I picked up exactly 1 year ago, I'm in Chicago. Any way mine had 63k it's a no option victory red car with a manual trans, exactly what I was looking for. Mine needed front tires, alignment and a new power steering hose, other than that just little odds and ends like repairing the vanity mirrors, creaking top, and a good cleaning and buff job. I did change all the fluids and brakes. I paid 16k, private owner I'm the third owner. I think I got a good price on it especially for the Chicago area. 18k sounds like a good deal to me hope your not to late!!! I would jump on it very quickly!! Good luck and let us know how it turns out

If you can, get them to put car up on a lift and get permission to look at undercarriage real good. Use a flashlight and look real good at everything front to back. Look for any problems like leaks, damage from bottoming out, anything. You would be surprised what sometimes is discovered other than just looking at the car topside...
Years ago i was inspecting a Cavalier for my daughter. We had in at my shop before I retired. Car looked OK topside, seemed to drive OK but once up in the air on the lift we saw welding repairs to the front subframe, floor caved in from a hit, we let car back down for a better look under hood and one of my techs noticed roof repair body work. This car had been rolled and on its top. We stopped right there.

18k is fair, getting to the point where age & mileage are going to be a firm consideration. I’d wait til spring and see what comes out of winter storage.
