No way over 40k mile 2013 GS is worth anything close to 40k. You can buy a single digit mile one for that EASY. Just look around. Average miles on Corvette is NOT 12k year.
The silver one with 55k takes a 10k hit for miles and is worth $25k wholesale. Not telling you what to do, just that there are plenty of low mile cars out there, don't overpay for a high mileage car.

I'm not able to see the car in person. I know its a bad idea buying a used car sight unseen but I figure in this case the risk is low. It would be nice to know why the brake components and shocks were replaced. I NEVER liked silver but for some reason this one is my 1st exception ever, I just think it looks HOT.
I know everyone says I should be patient and im trying lol. For now I probably should find something local.
I would have to finance, so nothing older than 2008.
Again, thanks for all your help guys!!

Get the free app for apple products called BRZO and plug in everything and realize negotiating price downward is part of your job...visits the owner, size him up as well as the car and make an offer.
The worst that will happen is the guy will say no and counter offer.
So go up a little higher.

I have been searching for a low mile 08 convertible in the low 20s. Seems to me the firm values start at 30k. Maybe the mid engine introduction will convince some to move up to better C-7 prices. Seems to me there is more room in a C-6 after wedging into a new model. I must be a vanishing breed at 6'4".

Go to autotrader.com and cars.com and put in your search parameters on a "nationwide" search. That will give you a better perspective of pricing than just doing a search close to home. The more cars you look at, the easier it is to spot a good deal.

My exact situation...and result! Could have gone cheaper but would have ended up having to repaint and put in at least another $3k for tires and other maintenance.

Well guys, with all your help I just approved for a loan on a 2012 C6!!
I will be picking it up around Thursday of next week. Here at the details...
Base coupe, 235xx miles, crystal red, 2LT, long tube headers, high flow cats, flowmaster exhaust, dyno tuned. I'm not really big on engine mods but I didn't think this was too extreme. Car is super clean! Now I won't be able to sleep until I pick it up LOL.
