Default MGW coupon code

Is there a current coupon code for MGW. Getting ready to order and know there have been codes posted in the past.

Call MGW and they will give it to you. 5% or basically free shipping. Did install this past weekend. Very straightforward while watching the videos

Had one of the new ones in my Z06 and it was awesome. Been considering one for this car. How do you like it Don?

I had a Hurst that I installed on my previous C5 and truthfully did not really like it. Shorter shift but quite a bit of effort and did not feel very smooth. Felt like you had to jam it into first at times. That said, overall the C6 manual feels much smoother than the C5 did. I tried out several cars with the Callaway shifter at Carlise last year and really liked the short precise feel of that shifter, and that is what I was going to get. Did lots of research on the forum and found out nobody agrees on anything out there in Corvette land except MGW shifters. Really could not find one bad report or negative comment. I ordered the MGW over the Callaway based on reviews and the inclusion of the lower box unit. The install it really straight forward if you have the youtube videos in front of you. To answer you question....I'll let you know. So far my take is a noticeable shorter shift, very precise and tight feel. Much smoother than my old hurst.
I am in the middle of replacing the stereo head unit and adding front and rear cameras. I figured while I was at it, might as well replace the shifter. Still have the console apart so I have not had it out on the road yet.

I see. Yes the videos are great, install pretty easy. I think you will like the feel of the MGW.

Thanks for that, was going to order the flat stick version online when the time came (now), but luckily, I read your post first and called them. Sure enough, 388.50 shipped

Whats different with the flat stick compared to the regular? Just aesthetics?

Yes, according to MGW the shifters function identically.

Don, you talked me into it. Ordered my MGW today , mentioned the Corvette Forum and got the discount. Ordered the stick for the stock C6 **** to keep the stock look. If it makes in time , I'll install it this weekend.

Install was easy. You’ll have no problem. I have the front and rear cameras all installed and the wires routed. I put in new rear speakers. Just waiting for the new 2018 Kenwood stereo which hopefully will be out in the next week or two, so I can put everything back together. We have had more truck weather than Vette weather in Maryland lately! Ready to get back to top down driving

The weather in NC isn't much better lately. The wind last Saturday was brutal. Ready for Spring.

Installed mine two weeks ago and love it! The one issue I had was putting the heat shielding and sound pieces in. Once you remove the backing paper, they are VERY sticky and maneuvering them into place can be difficult. What I found helped a lot was to remove the paper backing and then put it back on lightly. Move the item into place and pull the paper out. This worked well for me and I got all the pieces exactly where the instructions wanted them.
I had the car on a lift the following week to get new TPMS sensors and while it was up there, I had them add one washer to the shifter detent bolt (called the anti-venom mod). I found the one washer made the shifts feel perfect for my taste (they were fine without the mod, just slightly more notchy).
Enjoy!

Well, I put the MGW shifter in today. Everything went smoothly with no problems at all. Shouldn't have had any since this is my 3rd MGW install. C5Z,C6Z and now the Callaway. Also seized the opportunity for test drive, had to make sure it work correctly...right.

I’ll tell you this...I just put mine in on my 2005 and it is absolutely amazing. Gates are tight and it is one of the best purchases I have made for the car. I got the race shift **** for it as well and love it too. You’ll be happy with it, I am sure!
