Or try pushing on the two black buttons on the bottom of the mirror. In is off and out is on. Good Luck!

Push and release. Be aware that nothing noticeable will happen until you get out of the car, close the car door, and give the car 12-15 seconds to turn off all the lights.

I had that problem about a year ago. I can't remember what I did, but it was simple once I figured it out.

Maybe the switch is broken on the mirror. Nothing happens when I push it. It shuts off after a few minutes when the car is off, on all the time while driving with the headlights on.

When your sitting in the seat on the left side of you close to the door, Push the dash diming button in and see if that cures it.

This is a common problem that GM has never addressed on the C6... When you get in or out of the car, sometimes your knee will hit the light switch for the mirror lights...When you have the car turned on or running, you need to push the black light switch to the left of the steering column to shut them off.. It won't allow you to shut off the mirror lights unless the car is turned on or running, this is why most people get confused when trying to turn off the lights, because the car has to be on or running for the switch to work....WW

Thanks, got it shut off, not sure how though.. Think it was pushing the dash light button in then pushing the button on the mirror. Was so glad to finally get it off, didn't want to try and duplicate it

The button on the dash controls the buttons on the mirror. I had this problem when I first got my vette. Glad you got it figured out, drove me crazy for a day or so too.

The next time you get in or out of your car see if either of your knees come anywhere near that button. I couldn't do it even intentionally.

the "push and release" is on the dimmer switch on the bottom of the dash to left of the steering wheel. It's easy to brush against it. It's annoying to be driving at night have those lights on.

I had to read the book to figure it out since I didn't know it was a twist to dim and push to turn off & on. And of course I pushed the mirror light button first and it was on too.

I put a Delrin lock collar over the **** in the left lower dash. Can't push it in now. Forgot what size it is.

I never knew about the dash button! (My knee doesn't come anywhere near it though). What I've done on a few occasions is accidentally hit one or both mirror buttons accidentally while putting on or taking off the sunshade.
