Does anyone have experience with the Scrape Armor Bumper Protection on your C-6 Corvette. I have a Grand Sport C-6 and scraping is a constant battle. The reviews I am finding overall are good, but random.
Any Pictures and thoughts are appreciated.
Do you know about Curb Alert. That's what I use and it works and is around $140. Curb Alert will keep you from hitting the curb or scraping on top of a curb. Also for your radiator support struts, I have the Fang's cost about $50. Fang's are sold at Sac City Corvettes a vendor on the CF. Very
I personally don't understand the need for parking curb protection. The Vette is much shorter than a normal parking space, so there is absolutely no need to try to pull up against the curb. Just my thoughts and experience, YMMV.
Has someone else mentioned a Curb Alert is lot cheaper, and works great, I have set it up on my car and others, to beep 12 inches from curb.
It takes less them 30 minutes installations, and the only trick I use, is after it is set, I take clear RTV to squeeze in the paino hinge so it will never move from once being set.
Thanks for the Responses. I am not really having an issues with hitting Curbs. My Issues are more related to driving into Driveways, Parking lots and even speed bumps and you hear that light scraping. I am not noticing any paint being rubbed off, but do notice with any type of Chin Spoiler on the front of the car, gets damaged quickly. Maybe I am looking at the wrong product to replace the factory Chin Spoiler.

Yes you are correct the others are talking about non drive way issues. Looks like a nice product. I purchased some skates for my vette I believe they attached to the two radiator supports but have not installed them yet.
I agree that it looks a little pricey. I have been looking for Alternatives, but have not really found something that I like.
I have had the ZR1 Style Chin Spoiler on my Vette, but I have chipped it several times and after repairing it looking for a different alternative. Looks awesome on the Car, but not very practical when it scrapes so easily. The Stock cheap piece of plastic that came on the car, does not last long and does not do it's job. At least that is my experience.

Bumper Savers, Mid America
I have seen these but have heard different thoughts on whether they work or not. My thought has been that the Chin Spoiler would hit the Driveway or Speed Bump before the Skates would be able to help the situation. Would love to know if they work for you.
I am also curious as to how the product looks on the c6. The only picture I can find is the one below but its dark and poor quality once zoomed in. Is it visible from a front angle or do my eyes deceive me.
Lets be real, and if you are scrapping the hell out of the bottom of the car on parking stop blocks,
to end up with this,
Then you really don't below behind the wheel to begin with.
As started the vet is much shorter than most cars, so no reason to try to crowd the front of the parking spot to even get close to the stopping block in the first place.
As for if you or the wife does get too close and you do get a light scrap, then not the end of the world, and every year or two, just take the vet to a detail shop to have the paint scraps touched up instead. Gods knows it not going to be just the bottom of the front bumper that will need to be touched up, but other spots on the car as well.
