Apologize I advance for such a stupid question. I cant figure out my dash lights. At night sometimes the dash will be bright, then go dim on me. I try turning the **** to get them brighter but nothing happens. After a while the dash will brighten up then randomly go dim on me. Car is 2013 base model.
??? bad switch maybe. Only had this one about 3 weeks, have a 30 day bumper to bumper warranty for any repairs.
It depends on if your headlights are on or not. On and dash lights are dim. Off and dash lights are bright.
Thanks, I have mine set auto Makes sense goes dim when the sensor turns the lights on, get bright when it turns them off. It was rainy and cloudy when I noticed the problem guess the ambient light was switching the lights off and on.
1/2 inch dia. **** on the dash by your left knee. If you push it in it will turn interior lights on, sometimes when exiting you may bump the **** with your knee ,and you will be wondering why the interior lights do not turn off. If you don't notice that you did you may come back to a dead battery. Bill

Even if it were possible to hit that button with your knee (I don't think it is) the lights would time-out after 20 minutes. It's called battery run-down protection.

It shouldn't kill your battery , there is a 20 minute "time out" that should shut down all the lights and controls......WW
