Default - - - Precautions While Shipping - - - 2000 Miles

Hey guys,

I am buying a C6 vert from out of state - it's about 2K miles away. I had planned to drive it back, but due to some unpredictable health reasons, it's not safe to be driving that long stretch by myself.

So I am considering shipping on an open truck. Questions: I've seen when new cars are shipped on a truck the dealers have these White sheets sticking to the car's hood, trunk, roof, and fenders. Where can I get those White sheets from? It looks like it's peeled off when the cars reach destination.

What other precautions should one take while shipping?

Thanks!!!

Congrats on the purchase.

My suggestions:

Pay a little extra to have it put on the top tier of the truck. It will be alright, it's just a car.

Or, if you're really concerned, pay for enclosed transport from one of the white glove type shippers like Reliable.

Bad experience so far with shipping companies. They just take down the info and say they'll let me know. BUT they don't have a dispatcher/driver on that route...

Got a trustworthy friend or relative that can go get it for you? Where's it at? Somebody's got to be up for a road trip.

2k sounds a bit high! I got a quote from KS to DC enclosed for 1k last fall.

Reliable is the best.
