C6/Dodge Viper connection
Hi guys. I was hoping to gather some information about the similarities and differences between the C6 and a Gen III Viper (roughly 2003-2008).
I've always had an affinity for Vipers and this era seems like one you could live with almost as easily as a C6. Although not quite as refined/tamed as the C6, the Gen III Viper seems pretty tame compared to earlier examples.
Any Viper owners (past or present) care to chime in? Anyone who has ever driven/ridden in one? Anyone with general opinions on the Viper or aspirations of ever owning one is free to weigh in as well. Thanks.

There are many threads on this, I would go C6Z/ZR1 over a G3 Viper. G4 Viper maybe and G5 definitely. A base C6 vs G3, Viper all day. That is unless you DD it and want to mod it. The Viper Tax is real and way more than the Vette Tax. If you want to stand out, Viper. If you want a DD, Corvette. H/C/I C6Z's are making more power than H/C/I G3 Vipers and the two baseline around 445 rwhp. My plan for the future is to sell my Boss 302 and grab a H/C/I/E C6Z and a few years down the road search for a Gen 5 Viper. H/C G5's are making low 700's to the wheels and look epic. I have a buddy with a G2 FBO Viper with around 500 rwhp and it is bad fast. Would I DD it? Yes but no, it is a perfect weekend car. The two are great performance bargains.
