Tech 2 diagnostics question.
My question is how can I zero in on what I believe is a bad O2 sensor? I used my old harbor freight reader and it said low voltage on bank 2 sensor. I ordered and got new sensors and will install tomorrow. But can the Tech 2 tell me if that is the actual problem? I do not have windows xp yet and cannot connect to pc.
I've been trying to hunt down some xp software to install on old pc in garage.
Maybe I should put this in scan and tune section?

Scroll through the menus to find what sensor you want to check and see if the reading is in the proper range.
Youtube has a few videos that give a walk-thru on the tech2
Post #11 in this thread has a Tech2 path list to help locate what you are looking for. It is long because it is not C6-specific

Also, from the start, the Vet is a "Y" type passanger car.
so for a 05, diagnostic, engine, data display, NO2s data.
on a 2007, it's powertrain, trans type,engine control data,data display, N02S data to monitor the O2 sensors.
Note, on the bottom left of the screen, there is a option to go to graph read out of the 4
Once you are monitorinig the O2's with the engine running and warmed up.
The pre O2's sensors should be dancing from 2-9 at idle, while the post 02's should be holding steady around 4.
When you give the motor gas, the pre- 02 should still be dancing just now to the higher numbers more wize, but the post 02's should climbing up to about 6, then drop back down to 4 after you come off the gas/ the engine rmps become constant'ish instead.
One or both of the Pre not dancing up and down, but say holding steady at around 4 ish, then you it a lazy sensor on that bank side that the O2 will need to be replaced.
Posts above say 6 at idle than that is pointing to a cat that is going out instead (if you have a stock exhaust system on the car).
Also, get the car warmed up, so the O2 pre heaters kick off. If one of the sensors has a bad pre heater, then we can go into that later.
As for stuff like this I don't use the tech II, but instead a Elm327 and Scan master, since it gives a better real time graphs to read on the larger PC. plus can plug in just about anything else like fuel trims to monitor at the same time on the same screen.
In your case, you want to get Tis200O installed, so you can use Tech2veiw to get the larger PC screen read outs for the graphs isntead.
As for setting up TiS2000 for the Tech II, I have mine set up in a VM shell, So laptop is running win 10 64bit, and the Vm shell is xp 32 bit with TIS200 loaded on top of that.
If you need such, then PM me (click on my name to the left and select private message on the pull down screen, and give me a phone number number to call you back.
the latest VM player you can download directly from VmWares, and can work it out to get you VM shell already set up to run TIS2000 in a VM shell on a later version of windows.
Click the left hand download button, and go to free downloads, VM player.

To add, if your laptop does not have a rs-232 port to use the cable that came with the Tech II, but only USB ports instead, then you will need to buy the correct USB cable, and install the needed USB cable drivers to connect the Tech II to your laptop using a USB port.
The cable you need is here.

The software you need will be here (will need to be loaded in both the native OS, and the into the VM shell as well. So say win 7 for the native window OS running in compatible mode, then xp to load into the VM shell.

Hence the reason we need to talk first, so I can make sure your loading the correct needed drivers and software to begin with, and square you away on setting up the Vm TIS2000 to run with the tech II or clone instead.
