Likely just plugs to cover holes used during manufacturing. I've seen them on other cars.

Somebody here explained what they were for awhile back.

I can't remember exactly, other than they were used during manufacture, but now have no function.

Which part? Silver with 10.9 on it? if so the 1 of 4 bolt heads that hold your front cradle to the frame.

It is funny but just this weekend I was detailing under my hood and wondered the same thing; yes 4 of them and a bitch to get nice and clean. If just plugs I am pondering just getting some plastic plugs that would look cleaner and easier to keep clean.

Stud ends held in place by a retainer, so that they don't lift up when assembling the front cradle.

There are four of them 10.9 and are on a pivot. Two of them on each side of the engine on the frame Maybe something to do with traction control. I do not have Mag Ride.

10.9 is the metric designation for a high-strength bolt. I agree with the cradle bolt theory. You don't want to mess with those.
