Default Engine light shutdown

Steady engine light on and 2005 c6 will not start with fully charged battery.No sound from starter when ignition activated.

Isn't modern technology great. The car is just waiting to tell you what's wrong with it. You're just a simple scan away from all the info you'll ever need.

OP, check codes.
Need a reader, car's dead so parts store's out.
Have to buy/borrow/rent one, plug it in see what's there or not.

May be better to check and ensure that there is voltage at the starter electrical connection. That would give you idea if it may be starter or ignition switch.

You could use a test light, but a voltmeter would be a more accurate tool to use.

Good luck getting it sorted out.
