Default Rear spoiler for c6

I'm looking for some recommendations for a nice rear spoiler on a 2005 base model c6. Would prefer something already painted, reasonably priced, good fit, and not "tacky" looking.

Also looking for help locating a set of side skirts. My car has z06 rear fenders so I'm not sure if i need a set for a z06 or a base model c6. I'm new to vette stuff so I have alot to learn and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I installed the ZR1 style, unpainted ans I have the side skirts and splitter also in black. It goes with the rear defusser and the rear mud flaps or what ever they are called. If you wanted one painted to march, try RPIU design, but it is not cheap. I happened to find mine form a post here a month or so ago. I was about ready to buy the stuff and it would have been some were between $1,200 and $1,500 for tall three, but with mine lowered I was not sure of the life expectancy so I went with the stuff in the post. Look on eBay or Amazon if you don't want to spend around $400-%00 on just a painted spoiler.

are those the “$150” skirts from extreme online store? How’s the quality? Are they holding up?

Op, you will need skirts for a GS/Z06/ZR1 since you have the widebody fenders.

This ZR1 is under $300 and painted to match. I bought one and it fit and matched perfectly

Yes they are and so far fine. The front splitter was my first concern then the skirts. The splitter does not drag leaving or entering my driveway, but the original air dam did all the time. Like I said, I was a little concerned spending the top money to only have them destroyed with in the first month.

Ho will not want the GS style skirts, as it looks like he has the rear only (with larger flares). The GS,Z06 ZR1 skirts will not fit the front. I also have the wide body on the rear and I order the standard body skirts as I was told they would work and they do. It just takes a little playing with.

I bought this from GM a few years ago, it came already painted, with a template, easy to install, just drill holes and screw on. I think it looks great.

Welcome to the forum.

Here is a link to a thread I started about rear spoilers. Some of the pictures links don’t work but still has a lot of pics.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...to-thread.html

The rear fenders seem to be the extreme fenders which are wider than the stock grand sport, Z06, and ZR1 fenders. Very cool.

The only spoiler that I would consider would be the ZR-1 spoiler.

Do you have a part number for the GM racing spoiler?

I don't - I think it has been discontinued, however, some forum vendors sell an aftermarket version molded from this one.

The nice thing about the GM Full Length (Racing) spoiler is that they are not very expensive for a GM part, and they come painted in all the C6 colors. Each C6 color available obviously has a different P/N.

The bad thing is that there are very few colors still available, and GM is not making anymore of these particular spoilers.

'Supersonic Blue' became unavailable about 9 months ago. Many other colors are now gone too.

If you want an excellent ZR1 style rear spoiler that is cheap to buy and of very good quality, here is a good one:

$169.99 with free shipping

https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-05-13-C...-/322364724639

This ABS plastic spoiler comes with the install hardware, but it is unpainted ... Instead of having mine painted, I had a Hydrocarbon finish applied.

BTW ... This spoiler did [not] need any tweeking, grinding, sanding, cutting prior to install ... Perfect fit right out of the box.
