Default Oil Pan Leak

Has anyone ever tried Blue Devil Oil Stop Leak for the chronic oil pan gasket issue? I have a '07 LS2 Base Coupe that seeps some oil on the bottom of the pan. I've received a couple of quotes from a dealer and my Corvette specialist to replace the seal for about $800.

Hoping to hear some of your experiences regarding this issue.

Thanks in advance.

To me, that sort of thing is fine for a '94 Lumina you are trying to squeeze a few more miles out of. Do you really want to pour that stuff into your high performance engine?

Don’t add anything to oil. Redo seal on oil pan. Don’t go too long leaking oil and topping off. Oil under a car wrecks suspension rubber.

Thank you all for your input, I was reluctant to add anything, just needed a little reassurance!

I have replaced my LS-2 oil pan gasket and it is not a bad DYI project. Parts are about $75.00. It takes quite a while to do it maybe eight to ten hours without a lift. All you need is basic metric hand tools and a torque wrench. There are YouTube videos out there on how to do it and I think I posted the process here on the Forum. Do a search here and see what pops up.

Do not pour a stop leak product in your $8,000.00 engine.
