Default Seat Heaters Won’t work

So I bought a new Kenwood stereo for my 2011 GS. Took the radio bezel half way off and was only able to disconnect the two seat heater connectors. Got cold feet and took the advice of those on the forum and had it installed at Best Buy. I left the connections unplugged to make it easier for them.

Picked up the car today and seat heaters don’t work. Brought it back and they checked the fuses and they were fine but they changed them anyway. He was certain he had plugged them in, but offered to take things apart again just to make sure. They were hooked up properly. Next he put a meter on the fuse box and power was present.

He said the chances of both switches going bad was very slim. He said it could be in the computer and suggested I take it to my local dealer or see if the forums had advice. Sooooo, what do you guys think?

Many thanks in advance

I know the heater elements in the seats do go bad.

Just me but to be sure I would check myself to be sure the switches are plugged in. Hard to believe they both fail much less one failing. Maybe they bent pins in both plugs? Hard to believe. Good luck.

There was power at the fuse box.

Was there power into the switch?

Out of the switch? when it was on Hi? On low?

Does the switch control a relay? I would think so since it is a heater.
Does someone have a schematic?

Do the lights blink once. My drivers would not turn on, I replaced my module and I now have a heated seat

So you remove the console and check to see if the wires are plugged into the switches. Seems the most likely problem.

I continually blow the passenger side fuse. Swapping modules did nothing.

So it must be a rubbed wire or shorted out heater I guess?

I assume you purchased the Kenwood from some other seller. What did Best Buy charge for installation only?
