After some practice on the other vehicles I decided to finally try some detailing work on my 08 Z06. I am just an average joe and am pretty happy with how it turned out. Chemicals Guys Maxi Suds soap using 2 bucket method. Meguiar's smooth surface clay bar using Quick Detailer as lubricant. Meguires paint correction compound at 4800 rpms and Meguiar's NXT 2.0 wax applied at 3800 rpms using buffer with soft pad. Total time 3-4 hours. Once the sun comes out I will be getting some full body shots.
Took me a moment to see that is a reflection! Looks great. Encourages me to try something like that myself. Practice on the work truck first is great advice.

Sunlight will tell the story. I often will apply a glaze and top with a wax to really hide all the imperfections. Nice thing about a 3m glaze is you don’t get build up like you would a wax so a coat any time you want is no concearn.
I thought the same thing, hope this guy is better at detailing than taking pictures, where is the car, just see the garage floor and wall then I saw,, looks like a mirror, excellent job!
Looks excellent. Wish I could detail my cars still but I've got an L4 and L5 disc issue and waxing/polishing/clay baring has me in pain for days afterward
Those pics are fantastic For some reason it made me think of (I’ll show my age here) that game in the old Highlights (or something like that) magazine in doctors offices where you had to find the hidden objects in the picture. Where’s the car?
