So rear latch open, fobs no where near the car , your going to turn the rear latch above the license plate 5 times with the working key in less than 5 second to put the car into relearn mode, and wait out the 10 min count down.
As for the new fob, snap to make a new key that will work with it on the older c6's. Hence the key blank that came with it will not work for the older 6's, so you going to get a B106 blank key, and grind down the head of it/drill the needed hole, to make a longer key blank for the fob isntead.

As for if you are still having problems putting the car in fob learn mode, enough of use with a Tech II's to give you a hand, and just need to know your location so someone close to you can reach out isntead.
FYI, if your car is an export model, the key in the latch is not going to work, and it will take a Tech II, and SPS account to get the car into fob relearn mode isntead. Also to point out, even with a Tech II on export model, you still have the 10 min count down, while a USA model with Tech II does not require a SPS account, nor has the 10 min wait.
To add, if you have an export model, than make sure you have the correct Fob. Hence USA fob will is not going to work, and will need an export model fob isntead.

So again, make sure that any fob is not close enough for the car to pick it up when you are doing the 5 turns with the latch open.
Once you are in programming mode, after the 10 mins wait, program the #1 back in first, the program the new fob in secondly.
If you can get the car into fob program mode, but the fobs will not program in, check the antenna next to the glove box slot to make sure it's clipped all the way in place/has not fallen out of the clip slot for it.
