Uniden R3 is the new king for only $400. There is a cheap 3m mount you can get to mount it above the mirror to conceal it better. The blendmount is great but can be seen from outside as well creates a bit of blind spot for some. I have it for my Z and truck and love it.

I have a K40 Calibre in my Bentley. It is completely integrated into the front grill and rear bumper and operates with a pocket remote control. Has both a radar detector that covers all bands plus a laser "defeat" or jammer. With laser, the cop just gets an error and no reading. Calibre is a little older now and K40 has a newer unit out. They will fit a Corvette.

Previous owner installed this on my 2011 GS. Picks up everything and self learns from GPS so it will not false alarm repeatedly from same location. Maybe too sensitive as lady's alarm voice is always talking ( )
Since this is a few years old, Escort may have an update by now. I know software has been/ can be updated periodically.
Not cheap..........but very nice.

I don't use it. However a lot of people swear by them.
Side question, the windshield dots don't interfere with the performance of the detector? I assume not or you wouldn't have it there.

Dots not an issue on my C6. I have the Blendmount and a V1. Works great and I move the V1 to my other car when needed (which also has a Blendmount). Both cars have mirrortap so no power cords showing.

I have this exact combo and it works well. The beauty of this setup is it is reasonable. I would like the Valentine, but pretty quick you are into $600. I can take care of (4) tickets in my state for that. They used to have the Escort at Costco for about $240; Blendmount about $139 with the quick connect power connector.
