Glove box latch broke on my 2008. The glove box was in the unlocked position but it's now stuck closed. I'm assuming others have had this problem as indicated by the number of available latches on Ebay. I'm having a Devil of a time opening the glove door even though the broken latch was in the unlocked position. Any ideas as to how I can open it without creating damage. Thank You

No, I don't know how, but in the interest of being helpful or chatty, why not take the hinges off?

Found this out: There is a metal piece that shows after the break. Grab it with needle nose pliers and pull it to open the box. I can't remember which end of it, but pull on one end or the other rather than right in the middle. Then on the inside, there are two TORX screws which will allow the entire latch mechanism to fall out. Its a 5 minute R&R. Be sure to save the lock cylinder from the broken latch to transfer over to the new one...expensive otherwise
