'08 Corvette shares daily driver duties with an '05 911, I switch off when I feel like it. Neither car is a showpiece, or will ever likely be an appreciating classic (although they're not depreciating anywhere near a newer car of the same monetary value), I'm not retired but my daily drive is 14 mi RT so I'm not exactly piling on the miles; weather here is such I can drive these cars 365/yr. And who knows how many more driving years I've got. So I don't see any point in paying for a 3rd car and letting these 2 go to rot during the week.

Mine is primarily for show, but I do take the occasional trip to the track, and I take it on trips. I've put 15k miles on it in a little over two years. It's currently mostly a fair weather weekend car, but I'm going to be selling my daily driver soon so it will become my daily. Of course, I only have to drive four miles total each day, so it's still not going to get many miles on it.

Same here. One more round (4 years) of college tuition to go.
Empty nesters in another year so expecting to have more time for weekend road trips.

I don't buy it. You don't even use water to wash it. You're gonna be walking the 4 miles in the rain to keep that beauty pristine once you sell your daily.

Believe me, if my knees and back could handle the walk, I'd do it.

I'm hoping I can get moved to Arizona before it gets rained on too many times. The time to move is getting closer.

There are a lot of people that have "toys" in my area and do not daily drive them. One of the "cars and coffee" events in Great Falls, VA. is on a completely different level than most. Ferrari's, Lamborghini, Bentley, Cobra, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Corvettes new and old. Just google: Katie's Cars and Coffee Great Falls for some entertainment. Here are a few videos. The second one is entertaining when a mom backs up over the top of a Ferrari 458 Speciale.

I have a company car so it is my daily most of the time. Who ever owned my GS used it as a daily as it has 85K on it. I bought it for fun and for a summer daily. I also plan on driving my 62' far more this year than I have in the past.

Fair weather fun car and hobby. Used for car club events and cruises. Taken on vacations and it took 1st place in convertible C6 category at a Corvette car show in 2017. 18, 000 miles on 2007 Indy Pace Car.

I put about 50,000 miles per year on my company car so the Corvette is a weekend toy. While I have no interest in sitting in a lawn chair behind my car for hours on a nice day, I am grateful to those who do this. One of our favorite weekend outings is to stop by the local car shows for a quick look. I will never enter a car show but I do enjoy them as a spectator. As soon as I see all of the show cars, I drive my car. I live near the mountains and the beach, so we usually take some extended cruises at least once every weekend. My kids each live about six hours from us so we also use the Corvette for road trips to visit them. We also take it to Vegas a couple of times each year. My car is not a daily driver but it gets used every Friday, Saturday and Sunday year round.

I bought my car for fun so I only drive it 2 to 3 days a month. I live in Florida so I drive it more in the winter than in the hot summer months.

My wife and I dont drive much, we both work from home so my 2 year old daily only has 18,000 miles on it.

Based on some of the other threads currently running on this forum, I'll say that I use mine as a receptacle for the end of my Battery Tender.....

I actually use it for pleasure but lately haven't had time for much of that.

I use it as a show car lately. Ive been on trips and caravans and its getting harder to shift now. I clean it up alot. Its theroputic. Club meetings and the occasional ride about. Too many idiots around . Ive found that no matter where I go and no matter what I do......theres some asshat waiting thete to ruin it for me...

As they say...."Too much of a good thing"...while maybe it isn't bad for you, it can take the edge of excitement out of things. Mines a toy....never been driven in the rain. Has only sat in the rain once. Never been driven when under 50 degrees. And I don't care....LOL. If I drove it all the time then it wouldn't be quite as exciting as it is.... esp. that first day out of winter storage.....

I daily drive my C6. It was an impulse purchase but it’s great fun to drive. If anything, it makes me wish my commute was longer.

Week end warrior! Retired and have other cars for daily use. Retractable hard top for sunny days, Buick Enclave for general use and my Vette for Shows and weekend road runs.

Mine gets driven daily unless I'm heading to an area with rutted dirt roads or hail storms are predicted. I drive in the cold temps even with summer performance tires. My truck only gets used a few times a month. I bought the car because it's a blast to drive. I have no interest in keeping it perfect for the next owner.

Mine is for leisure and is a garage queen. I don't care what people think. I'm happy that I own a corvette. Just like I'm happy that I'm not in debt or living paycheck to paycheck. Peace of mind. It'll be a dd when I buy another vette.

I have a DD and the vette is for the fun stuff, about 3k miles per year. I love my vette but couldn't imagine it as an every day, all errands, all commutes, all everything car, it's just not built that way. But if you have to have just 1 car ...... it's a pretty solid choice.

I drive it mainly on weekends and sometimes to work (not often as I drive a lot of miles each day and don't want to put all the miles on the Corvette). I enjoy detailing it and having a fun car tool around in.
