Default FOB Recognition

My 2010 GS is set up to recognize the FOB to allow unlocking of both doors when I attempt tp open the door. This feature works sometimes. When I let the car sit over night, and I go to get into it, the car does not automatically unlock, I have to hit the unlock button on the FOB. Once I drive it a little, like go to the store, when I attempt to get back into it (a very short period of time since I turned the car off), this feature works fine. It is just when I let the cat sit a few hours that it does not automatically unlock. The auto lock feature works all the time after I get out and walk away. I get the same response from my extra FOB, so its not the FOB. Any ideas?

Before you say it's not the fob battery, have you tried replacing it?

My money's on this. I've heard exactly what you describe, over and over on both the C6 and C7 forums, and it usually turns out that it's the fob battery, anyway.

And remember that many new batteries are bad.

Definitely the cheapest fix, so will try that. Thanks!
