Default C6 corvette dashboard / interior cleaning

I was cleaning my dash with a damp microfiber towel and the dash turned dull almost white with streaks all over it. Went over it several times but still there. Anyone familiar with this? How do I get it back to the perfect way it was before? Please help. Thanks!!

What was on the microfiber towel..just water? Some pictures might help people see what you are referring to.

Thanks for your reply. I will try and get some photos tonight but to answer your question, yes, just water. I feel like the entire interior is kind of like this. When I wipe down with a damp microfiber towel it leaves these white film streaks. although more like a haze. Same happened on the door last night.

did you trying prewashing the micro fiber towel?
maybe residual from the manufacturing process.
I've only wiped down my interior with a chamois.
maybe left over cleaner from a previous cleaning?

???

Try using 303 and a clean towel.

When using Aerospace 303 it works better if you "polish" the surface much like you would polish the paint. What this does is to even out the product and eliminate streaks. I have even used a DA on low speed with a micro-fiber bonnet to do it.

I used a 50/50 solution rubbing alcohol (70%) and distilled water with a micro fiber towel and worked well to remove old dressing.

Thanks
