I had a great opportunity to work with my son, Nathan on my 2007 Coupe.. We got together and we change the factory shifter to a MGW shifter that I ordered last November but never got around to it. We also installed a new leather shifter boot, e-brake leather handle with also a new leather boot for the e-break. Last we got rid off the ugly silver color center console cover to a carbon fibre one. The interior looks a world of a difference. It looks proper now.
For those who are debating of getting a short throw MGW shifter and have any doubts, DON'T PROCASTINATE ! It makes a world of a difference. You think you are having fun driving your Vette, wait till you drive it with the MGW shifter, your face won't be wide enough to hold that smile. Super accessory that you won't regret. Any how here are some photos of this past weekend.
Here is a photo of the before and after:

Nice! I too love my MGW shifter. Now you may want to do the "anti Venom" mod. Cuts down on the notching feeling when shifting and makes it even smoother. If interested search the forum for it. There are more post about it in C5 section but works the same on C6 TR6060 trans.
My son and I did this same project over this past Christmas holiday, only we installed a TPS Attack shifter. Great father/son time and the reality is that my son did the majority of the work!
