Default 2005 red on red

I am considering a low mileage (16k) 2005 c6 with 6MT. It has all of the service records and is supposedly well taken care of.

The exterior is victory red (my fav color) and the interior is also red. Normally, I really like red interiors but it's a little hard to tell from the online pics how the red on red goes with one another.

Anyone have this combo? Are you happy with it?

I'm really sick of black interiors but I think it's going to be one of those things I need to see in person to judge!

Sounds like you may have found a good buy with only 16K miles. Our Victory Red ‘05 had the ebony interior. I’d have to see some pictures, but my first thought is, that’s a lot of red. I’d like to see this combo. Depending on the accents, the red on red just might be a good look after all!

Since you're asking for opinions, realize the C6 red interior was "cobalt" red. It is a dark, bluish / brownish red. I never liked it, and I generally like red interiors, but brighter, purer red. IMO, the cobalt red doesn't work well with the Victory red. But there are many here who did / do like it. So it's personal, you need to see it. Pics don't really help much. Good luck, hope you find what you want.

Sounds like a genuine find, IMO.
What kind of $ are they asking?

If money's right & all other claims true, it appears a winner.
Now IF column lock issue hasn't been addressed it'll probably need an eliminator/bypass. Peanuts.
As stated red used for '05 is sedate, one could easily get used to it given the car, itself.

Sounds like an excellent opportunity to get into a sweet C6.
YMMV but on this Corvette a serious buyer better move asap.
It's the season, potential C6 buyers comb the market seeking this level of C6. G/L

Go buy it and have fun. Your not going to be looking at seat colors when you're ripping down the road

Obviously red on red isn't scaring you away, who cares what we think. The asking price is a little high but what are you going to pay? Don't let $1K stand between you and a lot of fun, good luck.

Unless price is firm, can always try negotiating down some.
Just remember what kind of C6 this is.
Proper treatment, maint & low miles count for something.

Beauty of C6 is, aside from the widebody, its design didn't change over entire 9 yr run.
A clean well cared for '05 really doesn't look any different than other C6s.

A LOT less $ for essentially same car from '06-'13 makes a clean '05 a particularly nice find. Especially, for a first-time owner.

What's a good price? I was thinking of offering 25,000

My car is CRM with red and ebony interior. When I first hear about the interior I was a little bit apprehensive but once I saw it I loved it. It looks sharp and not as over powering as I thought it would be.

I'm going to be the only denier in this party. I think the price is too high. I know lots of folks just love low mileage cars, and most of those folks park their cars, and seldom drive them, which keeps them "low mileage".

If you pay a premium for low mileage, which you certainly will, you will lose much of that value if you add on normal miles.

If you love the car, and plan to keep it more than a few years, the enjoyment of having a car you like that much will be worth the price you pay, even if $25K.

if you read the post I think he is insinuating that it is a low mileage well taken care of C6, but you can just keep reading into it out of context.

what??? jeez, I'm sure it's me but...damn. It's a low mileage car priced on the upper end of the spectrum. If it is a car one is going to keep for a year, or two, and then sell it is too high. However, if one is going to keep the car for a while, and it is truly the car one wants...buy it.

artz, help me out here...read what post? The OP is not "insinuating" it is low mileage...he STATES it is low mileage.
But, to get back to my original query...just what kind of C6 is it?

Hes staying the remember what kind of C6 it is, low mileage and properly cared for and that has a positive impact on the value of the car. I fail to see how you are confused or offended(as it seemed in the original post). And to clear any confusion it’s a Base
