I can't find the F55 magnetic shocks on Cultrag or other OEM suppliers, but here's a very recent thread posted where the OP was quoted $4k to have them replaced at the dealership. Another member in the thread said it cost hem $2k to replace them himself:
Okay, you need to be a bit more patient here. We are trying to help, but you aren't giving us much info. I asked you how many miles, and got no reply.
The shock is leaking? Who told you that? I know...the dealer, right? Or, a repair shop? Or, if you saw it yourself, just wipe it off and see if it comes back soon. It is common to have a small amount of oil form on the outside of F55 shocks. Dealers and other repair shops make a killing replacing these for customers who don't understand much about shocks. Then, they sell the "good, but replaced" shocks on ebay for $1200 a set.
If you work with the many helpful people on this forum, you will learn a lot, and probably save a lot of money in the long run.

Just a FYI, but the shock fluid in the F55 shocks has iron partials in the fluid.
If the shock is leaking, and you wipe the fluid off with a paper towel, then the wet part of the paper towel that has any shock fluid on it, will be able to be picked up with a refrigerator magnet.
Hence this is the quick way to test fluid that someone tells you the shock was leaking as shows you the oil at the shock area, since if they shot some oil on the shock area to try to fool you, it's not going to have the iron partials in it instead.

The shop I take my car to has been saying my F55 shocks are leaking for 2 years now and should be replaced...The car rides fine so I haven't replaced them. They quoted me 4k for all new shocks.
If I do replace mine i'm ditching the F55 ones and picking up a set of bilstein sports. They seem to get good reviews here on the forum and honestly I can't tell the difference between sport and comfort mode.
